As the South Island’s largest participation running event, FreshChoice wanted to provide a fun and exciting activation at City2Surf that would help runners get through the Canterbury sun all the way to the finish line.
THE CHALLENGE
With so many sponsors competing for runners and walkers attention at the City2Surf fun run, FreshChoice wanted to provide something useful to participants that also helped them connect with the best parts of FreshChoice.
THE SOLUTION
We brought the “Fresh Aisle” from FreshChoice straight onto the course, with a real-life fruit aisle that included water misters, angled specially for all the runners who needed cool off before their push to the end. Participants could also grab some sustenance while they were there, with bananas, apples, oranges and plenty more fresh fruit for consuming on the spot!
OUTCOME
- Over 5000 engagements with runners using the misters in the Fresh Aisle, almost half of all runners in the C2S event.
- 300kg of fruit (hundreds of bananas, apples, oranges, pears & avocados) picked up or eaten from the Fresh Aisle.
